Job Information
Once a job has been run, or scheduled to run, it is assigned one of five statuses; Succeeded, Succeeded with Warnings, Pending, Failed, or Cancelled. To access more information about a job, select the job record from the Jobs table. The Job Information page is displayed with details about each task that was included in the job. The information displayed here varies according to the job status.
Note: Here, you can download a report for the selected job in CSV or PDF format by clicking the corresponding Download as CSV or Download as PDF button. The file is then stored locally on your device.
The Job Information page displays a break down of each of the tasks that were run as part of the job. Depending on the target(s) and the complexity of the job type, there could be multiple tasks included in the job. For example, 233 Succeeded, 28 Warnings, 0 Pending, 7 Failed. According to the amount of Succeeded, Warnings, Pending, and Failed tasks, the job is assigned one of the following statuses:
Status |
Description |
---|---|
Succeeded |
The job ran successfully with no task failures. |
Succeeded with Warnings |
The job ran successfully with no task failures, but one or more of the Succeeded tasks has a warning. |
Pending |
The job is still running, pending the completion of one or more tasks. |
Failed |
The job was unable to run due to one or more tasks failing. |
Cancelled |
The job was cancelled before its completion. |
Filtering Tasks
In the example job below, there are hundreds of tasks that have been run. To filter the task results, select a button that contains task data. Here, the results have been filtered to display tasks that have Failed.
Note: If you don't want to filter your results you can click to Show All Tasks, or search for a specific task using the search box.
To access the task log for each job, click the job row to display a drop-down with additional task information. For Failed tasks, the task log displays an error message detailing the cause of the job failure. This information can then be used to resolve any outstanding issues on the target(s) so that the job may be run again, successfully. For Warnings, the task log displays a message that describes irregular behavior occurring on the target during a successful scan that may require attention or intervention, such as 'Log is empty for this task'. Warnings are not failures, they just call out behavior that you may want to be aware of.
